The Independent Living overnight program provides Henry Viscardi School students in grades 11, 12, and R.A.M.P., with the opportunity to spend time away from their homes in a supervised atmosphere. The students must work together using a pre-determined budget to provide for their needs during the overnight. Some of the activities include shopping for the dinner and breakfast to be prepared by students, establishing appropriate duties for each individual, and arranging for an approved activity in the afternoon. This program has been a tremendous success at Viscardi. Students have an opportunity to hone their independent living skills, as well as to confront and resolve real life challenges.
